From April 18 to 26, 2026, Berck-sur-Mer will host the 39th edition of the International Kite Festival, a free event open to all.

The parade of horse-drawn carriages will take place on Rue de l’Impératrice and on the esplanade, starting at 2 p.m.

Juliette and Les Misérables
In 1837, Victor Hugo visited Montreuil-sur-Mer. A few years later, he set the first part of his most famous novel, Les Misérables, in this fortified town.
In keeping with this tribute, every year 500 volunteers don the costumes of their ancestors and the characters from the novel for this sound and light show. A landmark show that blends fiction and reality, a human story set in the mysterious backdrop of the citadel.
